A company that is known for presenting both classical and contemporary ballets, the Tulsa Ballet 2019-2020 season is no different. Audiences will have the opportunity to appreciate traditional repertoire like Giselle and The Nutcracker, contemporary full-length ballets by international renowned choreographers Edwaard Liang (Dorothy and the Prince of Oz) and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (Vendetta), and new creations by Ma Cong, Garrett Smith, and Penny Saunders.
“I am delighted to share next season’s programming. As I have done every year since 1995, when planning a new season I strive to find the right balance between a multitude of goals and objectives. We strive to excel in our execution of classical works but we also pride ourselves as an excellent contemporary dance company. We create new works and introduce American Premieres to our audience, while creating works here to be performed in other companies all over the world. Our ambitions are bigger than our financial prowess and yet, because of the passion, dedication, hard work and competence of our company and staff, we present our community with uncompromising art.”
– Marcello Angelini, Artistic Director of Tulsa Ballet
In addition, the pre-professional company of Tulsa Ballet – Tulsa Ballet II – has a season which consists of two productions: On Your Radar and TBII: Next Generation.
