Royal Ballet School: Healthy Dancer Programme

Royal Ballet School - Healthy Dancer Programme

After four years of development after review in 2015, Royal Ballet School has released a film introducing their “world-class healthcare programme”. The Healthy Dancer Programme was founded on the belief that to best prepare students for the life of a professional classical ballet dancer, attention must be paid to their overall physical, mental, and emotional health.

With that in mind, Royal Ballet School now employs 20 healthcare professionals with titles such as Healthcare Manager, Clinical Psychologist, Counsellors, Rehabilitation Ballet Instructors, Physiotherapists, Performance Nutritionists, Sports Physicians, Strength and Conditioning coaches, School Nurses, and Pilates instructors to help guide the next generation of dancers. One of the goals of the program is to bring global awareness to the benefits have having truly healthy students. To learn more about the program, I encourage you to watch the video ballet (the dancer footage is just as impressive as the program itself!) and visit the Royal Ballet School website.
