Celebrating 40 years as a ballet company, the Hong Kong Ballet 2019-2020 Season falls nothing short of this milestone. Their schedule includes several premieres – the Asian premiere of Company Artistic Director Septime Webre’s Peter Pan; Webre’s brand new production of Romeo + Juliet which will be set in 1960s Hong Kong; the Company’s premiere of George Balanchine’s iconic Jewels; a program of collaborations of international and local choreographers with local fashion designers. The company will also grace the stage with three other classic ballet tales – John Meehan’s Swan Lake, the final showing of Terence Kohler’s The Nutcracker, and the family-geared abridged version of The Sleeping Beauty.

Guest ballet stars including Iana Salenko, Marcelo Gomes, Dorothee Gilbert, Daniil Simkin, Osiel Gouneo, and Matthew Golding will join members of Hong Kong Ballet in the International Gala of Stars 2019.

In addition to their home season, Hong Kong Ballet will tour North America in April 2020 with Webre’s Alice (in wonderland).
